Irene Shone is author and Program Coordinator for French Essentials. She holds a B.A. in French and a post graduate certificate in French linguistics both from Université Laval and has been involved with teaching French to homeschool students since 1996. I started teaching French to homeschool students in small groups and it just grew from there!
Her husband Greg Shone, who is a former French immersion teacher, is the curriculum advisor for the program. In his words, the key to a successful program is a well thought out curriculum with clear and precise learning objects and a format that is user friendly for parents & students.
The Shones reside in St. Rédempteur, Quebec (Quebec City area) with their two children, Jessica & Nicolas.
